Bobby Pierce

Listing Bobby Pierce’s accomplishments on the baseball field would fill this section – and probably a couple of others – before you got to the end.

He played at Wallace College and the University of Alabama, where he was a member of Crimson Tide baseball’s All-Century Team.

He was a head coach for 27 seasons and won 985 games and 14 conference titles at Chipola Junior College, Alabama-Huntsville, where he started the program, and most notably at Troy, where he won 450 games, won four conference championships and took the Trojans to four NCAA regionals.

Troy’s all-time winningest baseball coach – and that’s saying something with a tradition-rich program that was led by Chase Riddle – is among this year’s inductees into the Wiregrass Sports Hall of Fame.
